Expert Witness Services

Experienced Civil & Criminal Expert Witness

Welcome to my website. I am Mobin Chadha, the Chief Psychotherapist at LifeSeva Therapy + Experts. As a mental health therapist and juvenile trauma expert witness, I specialize in analyzing and providing expert testimony in juvenile cases related to trauma experienced by young victims. I understand the unique challenges and requirements associated with these types of abuse.

With 10 years of experience as a licensed mental health therapist across New Jersey, Florida, and Pennsylvania, I have dedicated my career to working with children and adolescents who have faced trauma. I have served as an expert witness in over 1,100 cases, encompassing both civil child abuse and criminal court proceedings. My work as a juvenile trauma expert witness has offered valuable insights into the psychological impact of trauma on young individuals.

Our firm provides a range of services tailored to attorneys, courts, and legal professionals seeking expert case reviews and testimony in juvenile trauma cases. These services include:

1. Psychological evaluation of juvenile victims: I conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for juvenile victims of trauma, involving interviews, psychological testing, and medical record reviews to assess the psychological impact of trauma on their mental health.

2. Expert witness testimony: I provide expert testimony in both civil and criminal court cases involving juvenile trauma, offering insights into the psychological effects of trauma on young individuals and recommendations for appropriate treatments and interventions.

3. Consultation services: We offer consultation for attorneys and legal professionals handling cases of juvenile physical and sexual abuse trauma. Our firm guides practitioners on how to best present evidence related to psychological trauma in court and provides support throughout the legal process.

A mitigation expert witness is a trained professional—often in psychology, social work, or criminology—who investigates a defendant’s background, life history, and circumstances to present factors that may lessen culpability or support a reduced sentence

Mitigation experts uncover information that attorneys may not have time or specialized training to identify. Their findings can humanize the defendant, explain contributing factors (such as trauma, mental health issues, or environmental influences), and provide the court with a fuller understanding of the case.

Mitigation experts can contribute during plea negotiations, pre-trial preparation, sentencing, and in capital cases where comprehensive mitigation is required.

They conduct interviews, collect records, consult with family or community members, review mental health evaluations, and prepare detailed reports or testimony that highlight relevant mitigating factors.

Their work can support more favorable plea offers, help the judge understand context behind the offense, and potentially reduce sentencing severity by presenting a complete picture of the defendant’s life.

Look for someone with relevant experience, strong communication skills, familiarity with the justice system, and a track record of credible, courtroom-ready work.

No. While common in capital or high-stakes cases, mitigation can be valuable in any matter where background factors may influence sentencing.

Costs vary based on case complexity, required travel, and hours needed. Many experts provide estimates after an initial consultation.
